Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Lab Receiving Specialist for the morning shift (Tue-Sat, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm) with required overtime as needed. You will deliver and receive specimens, process them in SIS, and maintain accurate records while ensuring timely status communication across lab teams.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in a healthcare or diagnostic lab environment, with proficiency in data entry and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in a healthcare or diagnostic lab setting.
• Experience with specimen processing or receiving is preferred.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specimens to designated areas and department.
• Unload specimen containers/trays.
• Receive and process specimens, trays, containers in SIS system.
• Work overdue SIS Tracker/Dashboard to ensure all containers are received.
• Process paperwork/manifest in real-time to confirm receipt of containers and specimens.
• Receive Fed Ex & UPS as priority specimens in an urgent manner.
• Resolve customer concerns efficiently and timely and respond to issues by email.
• Operate Matrix biomedical sorting machines by loading/unloading specimens.
• Perform data entry in multiple applications and Microsoft Outlook.
