Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a Laboratory Quality Specialist near Corpus Christi, Texas, to lead investigations, govern analytical methods, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. You will drive SQC monitoring, calibration programs, and laboratory information systems management.

The role requires a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree and 3+ years in oil and gas or related industries, with strong Excel/SQL data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years experience (in oil and gas / petrochemical industry or other relevant industry
• Proficient in Excel and SQL for data extraction and analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations related to laboratory quality issues, deviations, non-conformances, and customer concerns using data analysis and root cause analysis.
• Own and govern laboratory analytical methods, including method development, implementation, improvement, and the Test Method Assessment (TMA) program.
• Lead laboratory quality systems and ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and industry requirements.
• Monitor statistical quality control (SQC) performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage calibration programs, proficiency testing, quality standards, and measurement assurance activities.
• Own and administer laboratory information systems, including LIMS, SampleManager, Integration Manager, QCPlus, and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical leadership and support for analytical testing and laboratory operations.
• Work with Operations and Communities of Practice to improve product quality, testing capability, and laboratory performance.
• Represent the laboratory on site and corporate quality teams
• Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement through training, communication, and employee engagement.
