Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Provo, Utah, seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support a comprehensive QA/QM program under the CLIA Laboratory Director. The role oversees document control and SOP development, ensures training competency, and drives system-wide policy integration.

You will track KPIs, support proficiency testing, validations, and change control, and coordinate inspections with CAP/CLIA and other accrediting bodies. Benefits eligible; 40 hours weekly; on-site role.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological/clinical lab science from an accredited program.
• MLT/MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of technical laboratory or laboratory quality assurance experience.
• Ability to develop and implement QA/QM programs and document controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a standard quality program.
• Oversite of document control and SOP development, review and updates.
• Monitor adherence to laboratory training and competency program.
• Ensure system-wide integration of policies, procedures and competencies.
• Track and report errors, KPIs, system monitors and metrics through auditing and quality improvement tools.
• Oversite of lab applications related to error management, QA and education.
• Support lab leadership in proficiency testing, validations, correlations, calibrations, instrument implementation, error documentation, root cause analysis and change control.
• Support accrediting bodies (CAP, CLIA, AABB, FDA, etc.) applications/updates, coordinate inspections and oversee responses to deficiencies from on-site inspections.
