Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Lab Quality and Education Coordinator. Hybrid work at St. Joseph’s Hospital, full-time, days.

You will lead the laboratory quality improvement program, deliver education, and analyze data to improve patient care end-to-end. Requires a Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field and 4+ years of laboratory experience with Florida licensure. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CLS or related field required.
• Experience in education delivery and QA/QI preferred.
• Regulatory compliance across clinical labs required.

Responsibilities

• Assures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Provides education and competency documentation.
• Implements and maintains the laboratory Quality Improvement Program.
• Investigates and analyzes laboratory data to improve patient care.
• Formats QA/QI spreadsheets and maintains documentation for administration.
• Develops and coordinates education activities and mandatory trainings.

Responsibilities:

• Assures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
• Provides education and competency documentation
• Implements and maintains the laboratory Quality Improvement Program
• Investigates, collects and analyzes data and communicates outcomes to improve patient careObtains accurate and timely compilation of laboratory data
• Formats Quality Assurance (QA) Quality Improvement (QI) spreadsheets and maintains files and reports for laboratory administration.
• Develops education offerings, coordinates education activities, monitors team member and compliance to mandatory training

Experience

• Required – 4 years of Laboratory experience
• Preferred - MediaLab experience

Education

• Required - Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory Science or Related Field

Certification

• Required - State of Florida License for Clinical Laboratory Personnel in Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Clinical Chemistry, Immunohematology, Serology, Microbiology and Hematology) or Cytogenetics.
