Job summary

Croda is seeking a Lab Support Technician I to join the Manufacturing team at our Alabaster, Alabama site. The role involves operational tasks in production, handling raw materials, chromatography workflows, and ensuring compliance with safety and cGMP guidelines.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, laboratory experience preferred, and proficiency in English with solid PPE safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
• Ability to maintain laboratory equipment.
• Understand the importance of following safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to details, computer skills, work standards, teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Distribute solvents and bulk raw materials.
• Perform upkeep on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform packing and tearing down of chromatography columns.
• Perform labware cleaning.
• Perform facility cleaning.
• Compressed gas cylinder replacement.
• Transfer laboratory wastes to collection areas for disposal.
• Maintain raw material inventory.
• Log incoming/outgoing raw materials.
• Perform upkeep of training records.
• Lab supply stocking and management.
• Comply with laboratory safety procedure.
