Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Laboratory Processing Technician II. The role involves collecting specimens within your training scope and preparing all specimen types, along with clerical duties such as patient registration and report distribution.

You will also train and orient internal staff and external customers, maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Four year high school graduate or GED with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training and ACT 169 clearance.
• Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

The Laboratory Processing Technician II is responsible for collection of specimens within the employee’s scope of training including legal specimen collection, and preparation of all specimen types. Assists with patient registration, laboratory report distribution and other clerical duties. Provides training and/or orientation for internal employees and external customers. Promotes and maintains a professional manner in all situations.
