Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Laboratory Processing Assistant (LPA) to join a dedicated laboratory team in Rochester, Minnesota. You will support patient testing through pre-analytic processing, data entry, and operating diverse lab equipment, ensuring patient IDs and documentation are accurate.

Applicants should have an associate degree or high school diploma/GED with two years of relevant lab experience; health or science degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-analytic specimen processing for patient testing.
• Operate laboratory and office equipment as required.
• Enter data and test orders into LIS; handle high call volume for test info.
• Ensure correct patient IDs and documentation; resolve pre-analytic issues.
• Prepare reagents and manage inventory; operate automated systems.
• Provide training to others when needed.
