Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on instrumentation and controls experience including low-voltage wiring.
• Experience wiring/integrating instrumentation like mass flow controllers, transducers, valves, thermocouples.
• Ability to read schematics and build/modify equipment from drawings.
• Experience using DMMs, voltmeters, current meters, test equipment.
• Familiarity with wiring, relays, circuit breakers, terminals and enclosures.
• Experience with digital/analog I/O and industrial protocols (EtherCAT, RS-232/485, Modbus).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar electrical CAD tools.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures and electrical safety.
• Strong attention to detail and clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and integrate electrical control panels and lab equipment from drawings and specs.
• Support installation/integration of sensors, valves, flow controllers, thermocouples.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment docs.
• Assist with electrical CAD drawings, layouts, redlines, and design updates.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls issues with testing equipment.
• Support selection/installation of wiring, cables, relays, breakers, blocks, enclosures.
• Maintain drawings, BOMs, documentation, and revision records.
• Collaborate with engineers and teams on builds, testing, and projects.
• Follow LOTO and electrical safety practices in a fast-paced lab.
