Starting wage $16.00 (increased with experience)

Job Summary:

The phlebotomist works as a team member of the laboratory. Under the general direction of the Laboratory Manager,this position provides phlebotomy services to all ages as well as demonstrates ability to read orders, place orders electronically and collect all samples in appropriate specimen containers. This position will be able to document correctly on all forms and will focusing on patient satisfaction as well as fiscal responsibility.

Individuals in this role are responsible for working with team members in a collaborative manner to manage all orders coming into the lab department systems with the expected outcome of meeting established organizational goals and departmental goals.

This individual will also maintain the phlebotomy drawing area making sure that all supplies are stocked and available for other staff members.

Education/Training:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification in Phlebotomy preferred

Experience in Hospital lab preferred
