Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Lab / OT Security Systems Engineer for a 6-month engagement in San Diego, CA. The role centers on safeguarding laboratory and OT environments with a focus on ServiceNow ITSM, AD management, and endpoint security.

The engineer will contribute to NAA remediation, software governance, vulnerability management, and USB/data transfer controls while coordinating with global lab teams and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of IT/OT security experience in lab, biopharma, or OT environments.
• Hands-on AD administration: OU, GPOs, and service accounts.
• Experience with endpoint security platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike) and PAM tools (BeyondTrust).
• Knowledge of RC4/NTLM/Kerberos authentication and lab network security principles.

Responsibilities

• Support NAA remediation design, testing, and rollout across RC4-dependent and other account types.
• Maintain host allow/deny lists in Lab OU and coordinate password reset flows.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and AD teams on security controls and remediation actions.
• Assist in policy-based software allowlisting and remediation for unauthorized software.
• Support vulnerability management activities, including OS patching and EOL system handling.
