Job summary

Vaxcyte is seeking an accomplished Lab Operations Manager, Immunoassay Critical Reagents and Reference Standards in San Carlos, CA to lead reagent governance and lifecycle across the vaccine pipeline. The role includes day-to-day lab coordination, procurement support, inventory tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality execution.

You will support monoclonal antibody generation, characterization, and stability studies, while enabling efficient laboratory operations,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting monoclonal antibody generation, screening, and characterization.
• Experience managing reagent and reference material stability and inventory.
• Experience with immunoassay platforms (ELISA, MSD, bead-based assays) in GMP-like settings.
• Strong organizational skills for inventories, documentation, and scheduling.
• Experience coordinating procurement, vendor communications, and material transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for CMC Immunoassay reagents, reference standards, and materials lifecycle.
• Oversee lab operations: scheduling, readiness of reagents, equipment, and consumables.
• Coordinate sample receipt/storage, labeling, chain of custody, and cold-chain handling.
• Manage procurement, PO tracking, stock levels, and vendor onboarding.
• Maintain inventory systems, usage logs, expiry tracking, and replenishment planning.
• Enable setup and readiness of the Immunoassay lab, including instrument onboarding.
• Support antibody reagent generation, characterization, and related activities.
• Support stability studies, qualification testing, bridging work, and method development.
• Ensure documentation quality, safety, data integrity, and compliance.
