You will direct day-to-day laboratory front-line and pre-analytic operations, supervise phlebotomy, accessioning and processing, and ensure accurate result reporting under the direction of the Laboratory Director. Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist with at least five years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Current MLS(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Meets the CLIA general supervisor qualifications for high complexity testing under 42 CFR 493.1461.
• Florida clinical laboratory supervisor licensure with appropriate credentials and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow for reception, phlebotomy, specimen processing and accessioning, and result reporting.
• Provide supervision of testing personnel and reporting of results.
• Build staff schedules across front-line areas and provide hands-on shift coverage.
• Direct onboarding, training and continuing competency assessment for direct reports.
• Monitor pre-analytic quality and address recurring issues through coaching and corrective action.
• Manage timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and personnel documentation.
• Coordinate supply and consumables ordering for front-line areas and monitor par levels.
• Support proficiency testing logistics and specimen handling within scope.
• Reinforce safety, infection control and confidentiality requirements.
