Job summary

System One in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Lab Support Specialist for an onsite contract role, 8am-5pm. You will support monthly lab organization meetings, manage waste streams, inventory, and orders, and help maintain lab equipment and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run Monthly Lab Organizations Meetings to address concerns and share information
• Waste Management: Manage waste streams, schedule Triumvirate waste pickups
• Chemical Inventory: Manage existing and new chemicals coming into the Wilmington lab
• Ordering Management: Place and receive orders for supplies and consumables
• Inventory Management: Ensure sufficient stock of consumables are available in the lab
• Coordinate vendor visits in the lab
• Manage Service Contracts: Work with Procurement to renew contracts, manage new equipment and CapEx purchases, and ensure quotes have the best pricing possible
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily, monthly, and yearly maintenance, PM management, calibration management, troubleshoot equipment
• Shipping and Receiving
• Coordinate Customer visits to Wilmington Lab 360
• Lab Coat management
• Learn NGS library prep workflows to assist in manual testing
