Job summary

Planet Pharma in Wilmington is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to oversee lab operations, waste management, and supply procurement. You will coordinate vendor visits, manage service contracts, and support equipment maintenance and calibration across the lab.

The role requires a science-related bachelor’s degree with lab experience preferred, and offers compensation in the 22–27 USD per hour range based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science related field required.
• Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run Monthly Lab Organizations Meetings to address concerns and share information.
• Manage waste streams and schedule Triumvirate waste pickups.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving with lab activities and vendor visits.
• Oversee procurement to renew contracts and ensure best pricing on quotes.
• Ensure sufficient stock of consumables and manage new equipment/CapEx purchases.
• Perform daily, monthly, and yearly maintenance and calibration management.
• Assist in NGS library prep workflows and manual testing.
