Job summary

Yale Cancer Center seeks a Lab Manager to maintain daily lab operations, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate equipment, inventory, and facilities. This role supports the research team by transforming high‑level goals into practical systems and managing shared lab spaces and resources.

Responsibilities include coordinating routines, assisting with experimental planning, and liaising with internal staff and external partners to advance clinical and environmental research projects.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems independently and efficiently.
• Experience with standard wet-lab techniques and safety practices.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and occasional after-hours flexibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication and meticulous record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement procedures and protocols under supervision.
• Analyze and interpret research plans and initial conclusions.
• Ensure data is compiled, analyzed, and presented properly.
• Maintain documentation of results and prepare reports for proposals and publications.
• Perform independent lab techniques and contribute to experimental planning.
• Collaborate with PI, staff, and external contacts to ensure smooth lab operation.
• Engage with external researchers to discuss methods and product updates.
