The University of Pittsburgh's School of Public Health, Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to oversee day-to-day lab operations and ensure compliance with regulations. The role supports a project studying influenza vaccine protection in a nonhuman primate model.

The successful candidate will manage orders, schedules, and collaborations, perform immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry, and contribute to progress reports while working in a BSL-3+

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry is preferred.
• Ability to follow regulatory and safety protocols.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily lab operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform tasks for a project studying influenza vaccine in nonhuman primates.
• Place orders for supplies and schedule animal experiments.
