Job summary

Harvard University seeks a Laboratory Manager for the Hotamışlıgil Lab in Boston, MA. The role directs day-to-day operations of an internationally recognized Molecular Metabolism Laboratory, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include staff onboarding, procurement, budgeting, and liaising with the PI and grants manager to optimize resources and support cutting-edge immunometabolism research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience required.
• Advanced degree will be considered.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lab safety and compliance with regulations.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and purchasing.
• Coordinate with PI and grants manager on spending.
• Serve as liaison between PI, compliance departments, and staff.
• Guide onboarding and training of lab members.
