OxyChem is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to maintain safety, ensure quality, and support La Porte and Deer Park plant labs. The role involves supervising lab staff, coordinating testing methods, and maintaining QA programs.

You will work with LIMS and SAP to manage data, support process engineering, and respond to customer audits. Strong English communication and a driver?s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field; two-year associate degree with tech program acceptable.
• 5 years of industrial lab experience.
• Thorough understanding of Quality Control Laboratory operations.
• Proficiency with laboratory analytical methods, instrumentation, and calculations.

Responsabilités

• Maintain lab safety and lead monthly safety meetings; promote participation in safety programs.
• Direct supervision, scheduling, staffing, training, and development of lab personnel and budget control.
• Provide analytical support to operations, process engineering, and other plant groups at La Porte and Deer Park sites.
• Develop and issue test methods; supervise operator test method development and training.
• Coordinate sampling, analysis, and quality control to satisfy EPA, TCEQ, and other agencies; maintain QA program.
