Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year program in chemistry with college math.
• Knowledge of analytical methods; able to perform calculations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs and wear PPE; tolerates lab conditions.
• Ability to troubleshoot using vendor support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine analyses including control samples and calibration checks without supervision.
• Analyze and document raw materials, in-process and finished products per test procedures.
• Provide lab support: prep equipment/reagents, store samples, enter data into LIMS.
• Communicate instrument problems to production and supervision for resolution.
• Assist with sampling, reagents, stockroom duties and data entry tasks.
• Respond promptly to alarms and ensure safety and environmental controls.
