Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 4+ years.
• Experience in analytical chemistry in academic or research settings.
• Experience with operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex analytical instrumentation (chromatography, MS, spectroscopy).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and GLP standards; commitment to safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of quality systems and GLP standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of EWRE Analytical Service Center and teaching laboratories.
• Train instrument users and apply SOPs for analysis using LC/MS, IC/ICP/MS, GC/MS, GC, HPLC, TOC, and IC.
• Manage equipment lifecycles: purchase, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and disposal; coordinate with manufacturers for repairs.
• Oversee teaching lab facilities, ensure proper operation, cleaning, and supplies for classes; manage consumables.
• Develop and maintain GLP standards, SOPs, document control, training programs, and maintenance records; ensure EHS compliance.
• Collaborate with finance on budget, invoicing, and resource use; represent the lab publicly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
