Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. in Boca Raton, FL, seeks a Team Lead for USHQ Lab Operations to lead the Florida lab setup and ongoing operations. You will guide cryogenic testing cycles, ensure reliable cooldowns, and build scalable processes with a hands‑on leadership approach.

The role starts with a short-term training assignment at our Burnaby headquarters, then relocates to Boca Raton to establish the new lab and mature safe, autonomous operations. Strong leadership and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering/science fields.
• 6+ years in laboratory operations or cryogenic environments.
• Experience leading or coordinating a technical team.
• Hands-on familiarity with cryogenic systems and lab infrastructure.
• Strong planning, prioritization, troubleshooting and cross-functional skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership duties.
• Strong safety, documentation discipline, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the LabOps team in Florida by coordinating daily priorities and coverage.
• Serve as the first point of contact for technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Establish procedures, trainings, documentation, readiness checks, and escalation practices.
• Plan and oversee cryostat cooldowns, warmups, and payload operations, including readiness and scheduling.
• Enforce safety procedures and operational standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, packaging, infrastructure, controls, and other teams.
• Maintain configuration, cycle, and operational records; drive reliability improvements.
