Job summary

Kinder’s is seeking a Lab Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of Product Development and Research & Development teams in Walnut Creek, CA. This onsite role blends hands-on lab support with documentation and systems administration to keep timelines on track and cross-functional teams aligned.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Operations, and Sales to manage priorities, help drive new product initiatives, and grow into broader responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related discipline, or minimum 1 year of operations-related experience.
• Lab experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and organization.
• Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and onboarding documentation.
• Schedule and document shelf-life evaluations.
• Develop and update lab SOPs.
• Research equipment and materials for new product development.
• Ensure documentation meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with sourcing, quality, finance and product teams for cross-functional alignment.
• Prepare and ship sales and finished product samples.
• Support analytical testing documentation and reporting.
• Communicate with vendors and external partners on documentation.
• Assist in presentations and facility coordination.
