Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA seeks an Associate Scientist, Lab Operations to join a collaborative team driving healthcare forward. You will perform routine testing, document results, and support quality activities in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include preparing buffers, calibrating equipment, and assisting with process changes while mentoring new staff and engaging with cross-functional partners. Strong regulatory knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze routine data, identify unusual results or potential performance errors, and elevate findings to senior laboratory personnel.
• Prepare analytical results for upload into the Laboratory Information Management System under the guidance of senior staff.
• Prepare buffers and solutions and perform assigned calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with quality investigations, deviations, procedural updates, and the implementation of laboratory process changes.
• Train and guide laboratory personnel in areas of demonstrated competency and support the onboarding of new team members.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with cross-functional stakeholders and represent the laboratory team on assigned projects.
• Support laboratory safety, quality, inventory, and 6S requirements and initiatives.
