Overview

Genesis Therapeutics is pioneering artificial intelligence guided rational drug design to address severe unmet medical needs for patients. We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive Lab Operations Associate to provide operational and wet lab support for the San Diego laboratories. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced biotech environment with a collegial group of high-level colleagues working towards well-defined goals.

What you will do

• Inventory Management: Ordering and maintaining stocks of lab supplies, chemicals, and equipment
• Equipment Management: Overseeing equipment maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and ensuring proper user training
• Safety and Compliance: Enforcing safe and compliant disposal of hazardous and biological waste
• Lab Upkeep: Maintaining a clean, organized, and functioning laboratory space
• Shipping and Receiving: Coordinating the safe and secure shipment and receipt of samples, research materials, and equipment

What you will bring

• B.A./B.S. or M.S. in Biology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry or related discipline with 1-2+ years of industry lab management experience
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter, quick learner with the ability to work independently and efficiently
• Familiarity with basic tissue culture maintenance and experience with chemical handling including weighing, measuring and solvating
• Procurement/purchasing experience
