Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials laboratory inspection concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques.
• Ability to operate a PC for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data and to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect laboratories for compliance with Department contracts and procedures.
• Review records, procedures, equipment and personnel to assess compliance and report findings.
• Perform follow-up inspections as necessary.
• Evaluate project/status and recommend improvements to optimize delivery and results.
• Notify stakeholders of changes and ensure processes are consistent and repeatable.
• Provide materials and technical support to customers as requested.
