Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking a Lab Instrument Service Specialist in Germantown, MD to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair laboratory instrumentation and analytical equipment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime and supporting operations through preventive maintenance, qualification, and documentation activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or 60+ credits) in a scientific/technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing lab instrumentation.
• Familiar with PM, qualification, and documentation requirements for analytical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC, mass spectrometers, and automated liquid handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on analytical instruments and lab equipment.
• Develop and manage PM schedules for new and existing equipment.
• Install, configure, and qualify instrumentation including PQ activities.
• Diagnose and repair laboratory equipment to maintain performance.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions.
• Develop testing procedures and maintenance strategies.
• Maintain accurate equipment records and regulatory documentation.
• Manage inventory of consumables and parts.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure reliability and compliance.
