Job summary
Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist to provide 24/7 support for laboratory applications across its network of hospitals. The role includes maintaining LIS systems and related hardware/software, ensuring operational readiness and data integrity.
The candidate will work across facilities, travel as needed, and hold Nevada licensure with a BS in Medical Technology or related field. A commitment to compliance and professional development is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related laboratory science is preferred.
- 3 years' experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Licensed Medical Technologist in State of Nevada.
- Must comply with Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Implements and provides 24/7 support of VHS Laboratory applications (e.g., Cerner PathNet, CareAware iBus, Siemens UniPOC, Lifepoint, Voicebrook Dictation).
- Maintains and troubleshoots LIS and related hardware/software.
- Collaborates across facilities and travels as needed to support operations.
