Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with a science or computer background - preferred.
• Read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.

• Demonstrate basic keyboarding skills for a computerized lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives specimens and verifies identification.
• Transfers information into the computer system and routes specimens to testing areas.
• Retrieves laboratory data and reports and assists authorized personnel.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and clean, organized work area.
• Verifies patient demographic information matches test orders.
