Job description

Join to apply for the Lab Informatics Associate role at Med Center Health.

Position Summary:
In conjunction with the Information Technology and Laboratory departments, coordinates the laboratory’s computer operations including evaluation of new software and hardware, revision of existing dictionaries, investigation of problems, internal informational reports, and evaluation of services. Oversees send-out laboratory work with ARUP and other entities. Works with billing, charges, charge codes, and modifiers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field required.
  • Certification as Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) required within one year from hire or placement.
