Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to support research facilities, administrative operations and residential buildings in New York. The role emphasizes quality work, teamwork and long-term stability with a predictable schedule.

Responsibilities include preventive/corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, installation and testing, and coordination with staff and vendors. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 5 years of HVAC experience, and a refrigerant license is

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Refrigerant technician license preferred.
• Five years of experience in general mechanics and HVAC and equipment controls maintenance/repair.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance to HVAC systems, pumps and energy management systems.
• Install and test HVAC systems for laboratory, administrative, and residential buildings.
• Maintain air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, electromechanical control systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Interact with other trades, scientific staff, and administration in performing duties.
• Order supplies from approved vendors.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems.
• Reclaim, recycle, and add refrigerants in accordance with regulatory requirements.
