Job summary

Xaira Therapeutics is seeking a reliable Facilities Coordinator to support shipping, receiving, and lab infrastructure in a fast-paced biotech setting. You will help maintain a safe, compliant laboratory environment and coordinate equipment moves, onboarding, decommissioning, and inventory control across Benchling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities coordination, lab operations, or related role.
• Lab environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes, including international logistics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, compliant lab environment.
• Coordinate regular facility walkthroughs and equipment relocations.
• Set up onboarding and decommissioning of lab workstations.
• Oversee cell line inventory tracking and capacity in Benchling.
• Document routine mycoplasma testing protocols.
• Collaborate with Unity Lab Services to manage inventory and supply chain disruptions.
• Create new inventory stocking locations per operations needs.
• Lead EH&S initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Work with scientific staff to identify and remediate hazards.
• Oversee lifecycle and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Ensure facility readiness and audit preparedness.
• Coordinate with researchers to optimize workflows and services.
• Provide cross-functional coverage for facilities logistics and equipment maintenance.
