You will inspect, install, and test laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining essential lab space and infrastructure.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot machine issues, and perform preventive maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; foreign degrees evaluated for U.S. equivalency
• Minimum of five years mechanical-related experience
• Ability to read specifications, manuals and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Lift up to 50 lbs; work in confined spaces; safety-conscious
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable demerit points

Aufgaben

• Assemble and install machines and test for proper operation
• Inspect operating equipment to determine adjustments or repairs
• Install laboratory machinery and equipment as required
• Comply with approved safety regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubricate mechanical parts
• Read blueprints and work orders; follow standard practices and craft techniques
• Work independently using standard trade techniques
• Be available for occasional after-hours emergency repairs
