Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Equipment Support Technician to serve as the primary contact for routine maintenance of critical laboratory equipment in a Cambridge, MA environment.

The role emphasizes detail-oriented organization, collaboration with laboratory scientists, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This contract is 2-3 months, full-time, with typical 8am-5pm hours, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 3-5 years of lab experience, or high school diploma with 5-7 years in a biotech/pharma lab.
• Proven experience with laboratory equipment maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for routine laboratory equipment maintenance needs.
• Refill the incubator water on a routine schedule to ensure proper function.
• Coordinate and perform annual disinfection of incubators and biosafety cabinets.
• Conduct monthly freezer de-icing to support optimal equipment performance.
• Coordinate and perform annual freezer defrosts.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory scientists to schedule maintenance around active testing and minimize disruptions.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed and as time permits.
