Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Lab Engineer I in the Antenna Development organization in Redmond, WA. You will support development activities for state-of-the-art communication hardware, assist in data collection, repairs, and circuit modifications, and help calibrate lab equipment.

You will work with phased array antenna boards, switching power supplies, and high-speed data circuits, participate in thermal and RF testing, and train technicians in advanced repair

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software QA testing work with writing test plans, use cases, and issue reports experience.
  • 3+ years of consumer electronics lab environments experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in software QA testing including writing test plans, use cases, and issue reports.
  • Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment.
  • Experience in a Linux or Unix environment.
  • Experience working on a consumer hardware or software product.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Lab Engineer I in the Antenna Development org. you will support development activities for state of the art communication hardware. You will assist in data collection, repairs, and circuit modifications. In addition, you will support maintenance and calibration of antenna lab equipment. You will use your electronics, programming, soldering, and rework skills to help engineers achieve design objectives. You will work on state of the art phased array antenna boards, switching power supplies, and high speed data circuits. You will also assist with thermal testing, RF testing, antenna testing and more.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

  • - Experience working with hardware and software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
