Job summary

Elanco in Fort Dodge, IA seeks a Laboratory Operations and Equipment Specialist to support R&D documentation and equipment records. You will maintain equipment records, coordinate SOP updates in the Veeva Quality System, and assist with computer system validation while supporting R&D lab operations.

This role focuses on documentation management rather than facilities maintenance or calibration, with collaboration across lab teams and a travel expectation of about 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of relevant document management experience.
• Experience using an electronic document management system to edit, coordinate, and maintain documents.
• Ability to write clear procedures with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory equipment records and inventories by adding new equipment information and reconciling discrepancies.
• Perform physical inventory checks and update equipment management systems with accurate data.
• Edit and coordinate SOPs in the Veeva Quality System to reflect CAPAs and change controls.
• Collaborate with document owners and lab teams to reconcile annotations and updates.
• Review equipment documentation for completeness and support validation records and related docs.
