Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Newark, DE is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Systems Testing Laboratory (STL) operations and ensure completion of EMC, safety, and environmental testing for medical and IVD devices.

You will direct priorities, staffing, budgets, and facilities, while maintaining quality, accreditation readiness, and timely deliverables to internal engineering and manufacturing teams. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of System/Engineering experience in a product development environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical, project, and/or people leadership experience in the medical device industry.
• Knowledge of EMC, product safety, and environmental testing for medical/IVD devices.
• Demonstrated ability to make risk-based decisions balancing quality, safety, technical validity, resources, and schedule.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead STL operations and set testing priorities, capacity, and schedules.
• Manage resources including budgets, staffing, equipment, and facilities.
• Ensure quality and timely deliverables to internal customers.
• Oversee onboarding, competency development, and succession planning.
• Maintain calibration, documentation, and traceability of test records.
