Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 years.
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance with a recent background investigation, or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and SAP clearance.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams in Aerospace or Defense.
• Excellent communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with senior management.
• Experience using CAD tools and PLM systems to support design and integration.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing for a hardware design team of ~10–15 engineers and staff.
• Direct all phases of engineering design projects from proposal through test and delivery.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage technical risks across programs.
• Oversee project schedules and technical performance.
• Contribute to basis of estimate development and contract proposals.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve successful outcomes across programs.
• Lead Lean/continuous improvement efforts for efficiency and cost savings.
• Develop customer relationships and drive customer intimacy.
• Own improvements in employee engagement, hiring, training and retention.
