Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Lab Design Engineering Manager 2 in the Roy, UT or Colorado Springs, CO area. The role combines lab design execution with people leadership for 5–15 engineers, focusing on C2 labs for Sentinel program.

You will manage requirements, drawings, procurement, and lab equipment build, while ensuring schedule and cost alignment through a formal control account approach.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 6–8 years of related experience or a STEM master's with 6 years.
• Demonstrated leadership on a project or team.
• Experience with Mentor Capital or Siemens NX CAD tools.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Special Program Access.
• Experience in testing environments or test execution efforts.

Responsibilities

• Execute lab design engineering to build lab capabilities.
• Lead design reviews and act as SME for lab/test equipment drawings.
• Manage cost and schedule as a Control Account Manager.
• Supervise 5–15 engineers, guiding performance and growth.
