Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Bonus Available! The Cytologist participates in specialized and complex technical tasks involved in the processing and screening of cytologic specimens to detect evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions, ensuring efficient and accurate testing of patient specimens. Screening includes slides of both gynecologic and non‑gynecologic specimens, marking abnormalities, rendering diagnoses, and determining cases for quality control or subsequent review with a pathologist. The role also performs rapid on‑site evaluation (ROSE) using a tele‑pathology system during the collection, processing, and immediate evaluation of Fine Needle Aspirations.
The compensation range for this position is $34.51 per hour to $59.36 per hour. This range represents a good faith minimum and maximum at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
