Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Lab Customer Service Representative I to serve as the initial contact for laboratory customers in a high-stress environment. The role involves answering and triaging calls, gathering information, and documenting in a call tracking system using multiple computer systems to convey critical results.

Responsibilities include contacting and documenting critical and stat lab results, handling fax requests in the LIS, and performing other duties as assigned while working

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Microsoft Windows experience, typing speed 30 wpm.
• Medical terminology and LIS experience required.

The CSR I is responsible for answering and triaging calls, gathering information, and documenting into a call tracking system; utilizing numerous computer systems simultaneously to communicate critical and stat results.

• Call critical laboratory results and document communication in Lab Information system.
• Call stat laboratory results and document communication in Lab Information system.
• Handle fax result requests in Laboratory LIS System.
• Works well without direct supervision.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Microsoft/ Windows experience, type 30 wpm.
• Required Medical terminology and laboratory information systems experience.
