Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare's Rex Wakefield Laboratory seeks a full-time Phlebotomist to join the team in Raleigh, NC. You will perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and ensure accurate lab orders and data entry in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, fingerstick, and culture collection according to procedures.
• Answer phones, take messages, and communicate results professionally.
• Register patients and orders in hospital systems; maintain accurate data entry.
• Ensure specimen labeling and handling meet SOPs; maintain chain of custody where required.
• Assist in training new staff and maintaining competency materials.
