Job summary

This full-time onsite role collaborates with the Biology Teaching Laboratories team and reports to the lab manager. The position emphasizes lab safety, accurate calculations, and the ability to troubleshoot procedures in a teaching setting.

Qualifications

  • College background required with at least one year of lab experience.
  • Knowledge of lab techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reagents, media, and cultures per approved protocols.
  • Set up and maintain scientific equipment (microscopes, computers, and audio/visual tools).
  • Assist instructors and act as lab safety officer.
  • Order supplies and manage lab inventories.
  • Maintain clean lab classrooms and proper storage of components/equipment.
  • Support multiple courses and coordinate with instructors.
