Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Part-Time Laboratory Courier to pickup and deliver specimens, supplies, and other items between hospital locations and surrounding facilities, ensuring timely, accurate transport and proper handling.

The role runs Thursday and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving history, understanding of Indiana traffic laws, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver laboratory specimens, supplies and other items between the hospital and city facilities.
• Review specimen request information for accuracy and proper packaging.
• Assist with sorting client reports.
• Sort deliveries according to specimen type and department requirements.
• Maintain a daily activity record with trips, destinations and times.
