Job summary

Texas A&M University in McAllen is recruiting Lab Coordinators I, II or III to support the Zachry Common Labs. The role involves supervising lab operations, coordinating student workers, and managing budgets with emphasis on safety and equipment readiness.

The position spans multiple levels with increasing independence and responsibilities, including collaboration with leadership and support for instructional labs. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily lab operations and student worker staffing for Lab Coordinator I.
• Manages lab budget, ordering, maintenance and organization under supervision.
• Supports safety, equipment and instructional needs of the labs as needed.
• Assists with additive/subtractive manufacturing, welding and project support.
• May work evenings or weekends as required.
