Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Lab Coordinator to support CDMO activities in a GMP-regulated environment. The role involves logging samples, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards across QC and manufacturing interfaces.

The incumbent will handle LIMS data entry, inventory management, and coordination of external laboratory testing while maintaining precise documentation and strong communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a scientific field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, review, and log samples, chemicals, reagents, standards, solvents, and other materials into LIMS.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
  • Wash, inspect, and store laboratory glassware using approved procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory support equipment including balances, pH meters, and glassware washers.
  • Coordinate shipment of QC samples to external testing laboratories.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order laboratory chemicals, standards, consumables, and supplies.
  • Support Quality Control personnel with routine laboratory activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Lab Coordinator
Key Responsibilities

  • Internal: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehouse and Materials Management, Manufacturing Operations
  • External: Contract Testing Laboratories, Vendors, Suppliers, Customers/Clients as applicable
Required Competencies
  • Knowledge of cGMP and USP requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LIMS, and internet tools
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities
  • LIMS experience preferred
Education & Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of laboratory or related experience in a GMP-regulated environment. LIMS experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform routine laboratory support activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear required PPE.
