Job summary

Promega Corporation's Scientific Applications Internship offers hands-on lab experience supporting scientists across Promega's products. You will work with an Applications Scientist to plan and execute experiments, communicate results, and develop written and oral reporting skills.

This in-person position is based in Madison, WI, with training across molecular biology techniques and core assays. You will gain exposure to nucleic acid purification, PCR-related workflows, and tissue culture tasks

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in life sciences (biochemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology) and completed at least two years of coursework prior to summer 2027.
• Ability to maintain a safe/clean laboratory environment.
• Strong motivation, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute nucleic acid purification protocols and assess quality via electrophoresis and spectrophotometry.
• Communicate goals, methods, results, and conclusions in written and oral formats.
• Maintain thorough records of procedures and results.
• Handle mammalian cell culture and monitor cell health for experiments.
• Assist with experiments using Promega products and communicate results to staff.
• Adhere to Promega Quality System requirements.
