Job summary

Mach10 Solutions is seeking an Electrical Hardware Test Engineer to lead PCBA validation for next-gen battery systems. You will transform electrical specifications into actionable test plans, perform hands-on validation in the lab, and report results to engineering teams.

You will collaborate with Electrical, Systems, and Firmware to ensure circuits meet functional, electrical, and safety standards, refining ambiguous requirements into repeatable testing protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical hardware test, verification, or validation.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical requirements and schematics.
• Experience with PCBA testing and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create thorough hardware verification and validation test plans derived from system-level electrical requirements.
• Analyze and interpret technical product specifications, schematics, and design requirements.
• Convert high-level requirements into precise, repeatable, and measurable test procedures.
• Select the necessary instrumentation, fixtures, loading conditions, and environmental factors to ensure accurate validation.
• Conduct hands-on electrical testing on both production-intent and prototype PCBAs.
• Verify critical parameters such as power performance, signal integrity, continuity, resistance, current, and voltage to ensure system reliability.
• Execute electrical safety protocols, including insulation and Hi-Pot dielectric withstand testing.
• Help maintain a consistent standard of hardware quality by performing repetitive reliability validation tests.
• Address gaps in existing requirements by developing robust testing strategies that capture the original design intent.
• Assemble test setups and procure the necessary lab tooling, instrumentation, and fixtures.
• Perform systematic validation testing across multiple hardware revisions and circuit board iterations.
• Assess test data to determine if the hardware meets all established performance benchmarks.
• Maintain detailed records of test outcomes, including measurements and evidence, to support project transparency.
• Prepare validation reports and communicate findings to engineering stakeholders regularly.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to diagnose design issues and recommend necessary circuit modifications.
• Assist in failure analysis by tracing observed behaviors back to the original schematics and design requirements.
• Coordinate with Systems and Firmware teams to address hardware functionality influenced by software-controlled interfaces.
• Help maintain a safe and scalable validation environment as we expand test coverage for our Gen 2 battery systems.
