Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Groton, CT seeks a motivated Automation Technician to support laboratory automation initiatives in the Pressure Labs and High Throughput Screening Labs. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing automation, robotics, engineering technology, computer science, or related fields seeking hands-on industrial experience.

The successful candidate will help implement, test, benchmark, troubleshoot, and optimise automation technologies that support

Qualifications

Pursuing or recently completed degree in automation technology, mechatronics, robotics, or related field.
Basic understanding of laboratory environments and safe work practices.
Familiarity with coding, automation software, or AI models; advanced expertise not required.

Responsibilities

Support automation activities within the Pressure Labs and High Throughput Screening Labs.
Install, configure, test, and commission laboratory automation systems with vendors and internal teams.
Benchmark performance, troubleshoot, and document results and equipment performance.
Track timelines and drive completion of implementation milestones.
Document procedures, test results, issues, and equipment performance.
Identify opportunities to improve automated workflows and laboratory operations.
Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to scientists, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Work independently with strong organisation, accountability and follow-through.
