Job summary

Gore is seeking a Lab Automation Support Engineer to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ. You will respond to error alerts, support lab operations, and troubleshoot automation-related instruments while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

You will program software for lab equipment, write and execute test scripts, and collaborate with Testing, Manufacturing, IT, Product and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with solid programming/software development background.
Experience prioritizing and delivering large technical projects alongside daily tasks.
Detail oriented with ability to document and present technical work.
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Program equipment software in test and manufacturing settings (Venus, SoftMax Pro).
Author and execute test scripts in development and production environments.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robotic liquid handling systems and automation equipment.
Interact with LIMS and qualify lab equipment for production use.
Develop software requirements, specs, and validation docs with engineering/QA.
Support and improve software and hardware for manufacturing/testing systems.
Operate in a regulated medical device testing environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
Provide day-to-day lab staff support and root-cause analysis.
