Job summary

The Director, Medical Laboratories at UVA Health provides strategic and operational leadership for laboratory departments within a complex academic health system in Charlottesville. You will collaborate with pathologists, faculty, IT partners, and hospital leadership to deliver high‑quality laboratory and pathology services while advancing technology and automation.

Qualified candidates will have a NAACLS‑approved MLS/CLS/HTL or equivalent and at least five years of leadership experience in

• Bachelor’s Degree with completion of a NAACLS-approved MLS/CLS/HTL or equivalent program.
• Master’s Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
• MLS/CLS or categorical certification, CT, HTL, PA, ASCP or equivalent required.
